Platform transparency
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. Who we are and Dabba's role
Dabba is an online platform that connects people who need to send a parcel (Customers) with people already travelling that route who have free space (Carriers).
Dabba is not a carrier or a courier: it does not transport parcels itself and is not a party to the transport contract between Customer and Carrier. It handles matching, payment, tracking and support.
Service provider: Wajdi Saidani — Viale Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto 43, 22070 Cirimido (CO), Italy.
2. How we rank trips in search results
When you search for a route, Dabba only shows trips published by Carriers that pass near your pickup and delivery points (within about 10 km of the route), in the right order and on the chosen date (one day before or after included). We never list trips that do not match your search.
By default results are sorted by relevance, using a score computed automatically from these criteria, by weight:
- Distance from the route (the main criterion): how close the trip passes to your pickup and delivery points
- Carrier rating: the average stars received, if any
- Available space compared with the parcel weight
- Price compared with the other trips found
- Departure date: sooner trips rank higher
- Route coverage: how much of your journey the trip covers
Ties are broken by departure time. You can always sort by price or departure time instead, and filter by time of day, weight and verified Carriers.
No Carrier can pay to rank higher: there are no sponsored placements, commercial agreements or payments affecting the order of results.
3. Who can carry parcels with Dabba
To publish trips and carry parcels you must:
- Be of legal age and have a Dabba account
- State the vehicle you travel with and its plate
- Accept a self-declaration stating that you hold a valid identity document and, for motor vehicles, a valid driving licence and insurance covering the use of the vehicle
- Comply with the Terms of Service and the prohibited items list
Every application is reviewed by the Dabba team before the Carrier can accept shipments. The Verifiedbadge means the application was approved: it relies on the Carrier's self-declaration, not on Dabba checking original documents.
Both private individuals and professionals with a VAT number can carry parcels. Carriers are not Dabba employees.
4. Prices and fees
The price shown before paying is the final price for the Customer: no hidden costs are added later. Payment is made by card through Stripe and is held by Dabba until the shipment is completed.
- Once delivered, the Carrier receives 80% of the amount, paid by IBAN transfer or PayPal after 5 business days
- Dabba keeps 20% as a service fee
- If the shipment is cancelled before pickup, the Customer gets a full refund
5. Reviews
- Only the Customer of a shipment that was actually delivered can leave a review, once per shipment: every review matches a real transport
- Reviews range from 1 to 5 stars, with an optional comment, and are published immediately on the Carrier's profile
- Profiles show the average rating and the number of reviews; the average also counts in the ranking of results (section 2)
- Reviews cannot be bought and Dabba does not edit them. We may remove false, abusive or bad-faith reviews when they are reported to us
6. Reporting content or a user
If a trip, profile, review or behaviour seems illegal or against the Terms (for example carrying prohibited items, a fake profile or a request to pay outside the app), you can report it:
- through the Dabba Support chat in the app (Profile → Help)
- or by writing to supporto@dabba.it
Tell us what you are reporting (profile name, route or shipment code), why you believe it is illegal or prohibited and, if you wish, your contact details. We confirm receipt and let you know the decision taken.
7. How we moderate
Reports are reviewed by hand by the Dabba team: we do not use automated systems to remove content or block accounts. Chat between users is end-to-end encrypted, so Dabba cannot read messages: we only act on what is reported to us.
Depending on severity, we may:
- remove a trip or a review
- suspend a Carrier from deliveries
- suspend or close an account
- report the case to the competent authorities where required by law
Anyone affected by one of these measures is told the reason for the decision. If you disagree, you can ask for a review by replying to our message or writing to supporto@dabba.it: the decision is reviewed by a person. You can always turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or the competent court.
